Hampton Inn & Suites
Hampton Inn and Suites in Snoqualmie is a hotel set along a busy road with views of the Cascade Mountain Range. This relaxed hotel is 3 miles from both Snoqualmie falls and I-90.
Halvorson Construction Group named Scott Coatings as the painter for this hotel project. The Scott Coatings team painted the interior of this building that includes walls, ceilings, base and door frames. Also the installation of the wall coverings in the corridor and the exterior of the building that includes canopies.
Joe joined the Scott Coatings team in April of 2016 as an Estimator providing pricing for projects. He studied Psychology at Washington State University, where he also played as a receiver on their football team. Joe is familiar with the painting trade since he was able to paint during the summers in his college years. It has been a wild and fun ride for him to be a part of the fastest growing painting contractor in the Northwest. He believes that if you work in a place that feels like family, and enjoy going to work every day, you know you’re at the right place. That has shown itself to be true of his time at Scott Coatings. Outside of Scott Coatings Joe enjoys hanging out with family and friends especially at his family cabin in Henry Island that has been the ultimate getaway. He also enjoys anything sports, especially the Hawks and WSU.

Principal – Senior Project ManagerSeattle, WA
Laurin has been at Scott Coatings longer than everyone minus Rob. He has been here since June of 2007 as a Project Manager and now a Principal – Senior Project Manager. His roles have evolved in the more recent years in leading the charge for our project management team on all of our projects. Laurin has a Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing degree from Michigan Tech and Oakland University. He also received his MBA from Wayne State University. 100% of his experience in construction has been with Scott Coatings. What initially started out as a secured job prior to moving west from Detroit quickly blossomed into a passion of his and has become his future. Outside of Scott Coatings Laurin enjoys traveling, boating, camping, skiing, hiking, and really just being outdoors.

General SuperintendentSeattle, WA
Juan started in September of 2017 as a General Foreman then later on promoted to a Superintendent where his responsibilities include scheduling, project production, manpower, and improving methods and processes. He has his certifications in boom lift, scissor lift, scaffolding, swing stages, and forklift training. He has also completed a course as a Apprentice and Journeyman at IUPAT. Juan has been in the construction industry for 15 years and specifically in the painting industry for 14 years. Juan believes that he found the place where he enjoys the culture, behavior, and vision to be the biggest and best painting contractor on the Westcoast. He feels that he is at a place where he is valued and is inspired to perform at a high level. Outside of Scott Coatings Juan enjoys time with his family as well as traveling with his kids to soccer games. He is a very competitive guy, so he loves the thrill of the game.

General ForemanSeattle, WA
Rudy joined the Scott Coatings family in July of 2018 as a foreman and later promoted as a General Foreman. Rudy went to Whatcom Community College and received his Associates in Business Administration. Rudy has been around the painting industry since he was a kid where his father taught him about the the trade but also has experience as a residential electrician and owned his own residential general contracting company. His biggest reason in joining and staying at Scott Coatings is due to the great working environment and is a company that he can grow with. Outside of Scott Coatings Rudy loves watching and playing baseball, spending time with his German Shepard, April, and going on road trips.
- Random Fact: He can play guitar, bass, drums and piano.
- Bucket list: Go to French New Guinea and visit Bora Bora.
Martin is one of the longest standing employees and has been at Scott Coatings since 2005 and has worked his way up into a foreman. He has his respirator, boom lift, lead, fall protection, and HAZCOM certifications. Martin has a total of 17 years of experience of being in the trade and has the majority of it spent at Scott Coatings. The main reason he stays is because––in his opinion––Scott Coatings is the best. Outside of Scott Coatings Martin enjoys spending time with his family and going to the gym.
