project description
Four years ago Expedia announced that it would move its headquarters from Bellevue to the former Amgen campus in Seattle. The new headquarters will have 4,500 employees in its new space. GLY was named the GC on this ESHQ Expedia Project.
GLY awarded Scott Coatings as the painter on this project. We have an ongoing and growing relationship with GLY and have been working together for about 2 years now. Scott Coatings had the opportunity to paint the walls, ceilings, doors, frames, OTS, piping, GWB, concrete walls, stairs, and exterior canopies. A challenge that did arise from this project was the number of trades that were working at the same time. So working not only with the GC on schedule but also with the other trades was in front of mind with the execution of the schedule and scope. Overall the project turned out great for us and our customer, GLY. It was a great project and partnership for this project in particular.

Matt Scott

Seattle, WAMatt joined the family company back in July of 2012 as an Estimator and now as Business Development Manager. He has his Business degree from Central Washington University. Matt’s experience includes a total of 10 years of field painting and 6 years in the US Navy. He has a strong belief and conviction in the value and goal we seek to accomplish at Scott Coatings and enjoys the fun atmosphere and culture as well. Outside of Scott Coatings Matt enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and going to his family cabin on Henry Island.
